Is There an Anti-God

I have been pondering the questions of why do bad things happen to good people and why do good things happen to bad people? I have a friend who feels that this world is Hell. She bases that on the idea that God created Heaven and earth, but nowhere does it mention him creating Hell, therefore as Hell cannot be Heaven, it must be earth.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Instead I think there is a separate Hell from earth. And I further believe instead that there is an anti-God, someone who makes sure things go wrong for good people in the world. Unlike Satan, the anti-God is almost as powerful as God. He goes about wrecking the lives of innocent people with diseases, disasters, starvation, and simply making sure the good are held down so they cannot make this world a place of love and kindness. In many respects it resembles some forms of Zoroastrianism where you have Ahura Mazda and his opponent Angra Mainyu who is not quite his equal. The idea of an anti-God was first put forth as far as I know in the TV show, "Quantum Leap."

There is the question of how does the anti-God operate? Natural disasters, diseases, mental illnesses are all explainable as a sort of "reverse miracle." While God blesses, the anti-God curses. But the anti-God goes beyond causing such things, and goes further to cloud the minds of people who are otherwise good and kind and turn them against other good people. And by doing so creates discord and chaos in the universe. If you wonder how this can be, stop and think about how maybe in your life people turned you on a friend, only to find out later the friend had done nothing wrong. And this is what makes the anti-God truly evil. He loves war, hate, prejudice, envy, greed and hates all that is good and kind. And that's why Jesus, Buddha, and many others taught about how to treat others, so that our minds wouldn't be clouded by the anti-God.
